[MR2] MR2 MK1 Transmission Input Shaft Seal Replace

Does anyone know of a write-up of replacing this seal without a transmission rebuild? I may have done this seal in the past but can't remember the steps to replace this item. I think all that is necessary is to remove the transmission shaft "Front Bearing Retainer" to gain access to the seal but not sure. 
 
The BGB only shows the seal replacement with a complete rebuild. This is a C52 transmission from a '88 MK1.
