I have an '86 sunroof car and am interested in trading for a T-top
model. Rather than keep two sunroof cars, I would like a T-top shell to
put my hi-po parts in so I can return my '85 to stockish daily driver
status.
Details on my car are as follows:
Approx. 189K miles on chassis, engine appears to have been opened at
some point
Stock engine, no funny noises, starts easily, runs sweetly
Transmission shifts very well, gearshift nods a little in fifth, does
not pop out of gear
Short shift lever (tab)
Usual oil leak @ cooler hoses (will probably fix before trade)
Fairly good interior, clean cloth seats, decent dash, etc.
Glass good, light pitting on windshield, no cracks
Body good, no major damage, light (surface only) rust ahead of stone
guard on left side
Paint is white, passable (not great), some peeling clear on hood
All hinges and handles tight
Manual windows, both regulators good
Could use side window weatherstrips
Heater good, cruise control good, A/C removed
Braided steel brake lines
Stock springs and struts
Ball joints and tie rod ends feel tight, car drives well
Stock, clean triangle alloy wheels, needs tires
As stated, I am interested in trading for a T-top car. When all is said
and done, I still want to have a good stock engine and comparable
interior. If you have a bad engine or none at all, I can keep mine. If
your interior is junk, I can keep mine. If you have a stereo you like,
you can keep it. I am OK with an automatic car if that's what you have.
I have been daily driving this car since I put it together and realized
that it is a better car than I thought it was. I have not yet put any
real effort into tidying the car up for photos but can do so if anyone
is interested in trading. This is a solid car and I would prefer not to
be cash out of pocket on the trade. If your car is rougher, we can swap
parts to even it out or I can take cash + trade. I do not really want to
sell the car outright at this time.
Location is the Eugene, OR area.
Thoughts?
