[MR2] Fuel smell

  My latest aquisition MK1 (known affectionately as MRFive) has a distinctive fuel smell, but I cant find a leak anywhere. 

  I've inspected all the connections with the fuel pump running continuously and cant find evidence of a leak. Its dry all round the injectors and the fuel rail. 

  The smell is mainly detectable in the cab when I drive with the windows down, so I suspect the vapours are being pulled through from underneath and inside via the gear shift gaiter which is full of holes. 

  Short of striking a match and trying to determine the burning vapour path back to its source before the car and myself are engulfed in flames, anyone have any suggestions on how I can track down the leak ?
