[MR2] what makes a car "fun" to drive?

I haven't owned an MR2 since 2004. Unlike many of my cars, I still miss it, so
it had to be fun to drive. I still remember taking my wife to the Outer Banks
and going over the big bridge at Manteo. The sun was just setting, the tops were
off, the air was warm, and we had an Acura NSX pull up next to us. There was no
traffic at all, so we came over the top of the bridge at 110 or so in formation.
 
If a car can leave a memory like that from a decade ago, it is fun to drive!
