I've gotten 8mpg, I've gotten 32mpg. All depends how you drive it. :)

For the Michiganders, once went through half a tank driving from Royal Oak
to Ann Arbor.

Also seem to remember I once got 300miles on a tank.

So... depends... ;)

Anyone out there have data as to the real world gas mileage of a 1991 Turbo?

Memory serves that the last time I was regularly driving it back in the late
90's it only got in the low 20's but that is from memory and my memory isn't
what it used to be.  I will mostly be doing in town driving so if your
pulling 35 mpg but it is 95% highway, I guess that information won't do me
much good.
