I've owned an '85 and '91T at the same time, then later an '85 and a '91NA
at the same time. Somewhere I might have owned an '85SC and a '91NA (memory
fades).
They really are world's different, yet are great in different ways. I'd find
myself driving the vehicle based on my mood. The Mk I was more go-kart and
youngster, the Mk II more... adult. The added torque of the Mk I made if
feel faster, even if it wasn't.
And if you wanted to do a 5SFE compare, I once owned (iirc, at the same
time) a '91NA (manual), '96 Camry (manual), and '90 Celica Convertible
(auto). They all smoke on startup, and it was freaky that the MR2 and Camry
had the same engine/trans combo (so shifts and speeds were always the same).

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has both a mk1 and a mk2, because I
think it'd be interesting to own both. If anyone does, does it feel to have
both?
