[MR2] what makes a car "fun" to drive?

Or everyone in the group was taking advantage of the greater acceleration, braking, and handling their cars are capable of, which was my original point when I posted the video. If a given road is safe at 60mph for an 18 wheeler, an MR2 or Supra's safe speed is going to be significantly higher than 60 on the same road.
