[MR2] MK2 speaker sizing question

Ems Powered has replacement subwoofers for behind the seat. The fit in the stock enclosure, but require some trimming. I have some in stock if you don't trust EMS to deliver them within a reasonable time. 

The door midrange speakers are 5.25, but you can easily get a 6.5 to fit.

1/4 or 6 1/2 but I'm not sure which without taking the door panel off.
When I look up aftermarket component options all I see are 2 way systems
which don't include the skinny little sub that's behind the seat. I'm
pretty set in my ways as to keeping that sub in there and not adding a
box on top for another size speaker. Does anybody have experience
incorporating or replacing speakers while including the seat subs?
