A bit off subject but.
If you order your product from Advance on line for pickup at the store, you
can use a coupon code (just Google Advance Auto Coupon Code) and you can
usually get near Rock Auto Prices and pick up the parts in just a few
minutes

Actually, I learned the hard way if they are warped enough to need turning,
there is not enough left to cut and stay in min thickness specs.

That's been my policy for years - I tolerate moderate wear patterns; replace
the rotors when they get too bad. I just found rotors on RockAuto.com for ~
$45 each. Wonder how much they are at their local Lexus dealer! I flush
the brake fluid every other pad change; this lets me go many years between
caliper rebuilds without sticking & abnormal wear.
I'm sending my daughter & son-in-law an email with these recommendations.
Still hoping for a mechanic recommendation - I'm not gonna pack tools on my
next visit; they don't even have jack stands or a floor jack.

You shouldn't have to turn the rotors on any Toyota...
Only replace if the rotors pulse or went metal on metal
Just did it on a 4runner
If they don't pulse, just pad slap it.
Bendix $39.95 at advance for the 4runner after an online coupon.

Hi, all,
My older daughter has a 2007 Lexus RX-350 that needs a brake job; the dealer
quoted $435 for front pads, rotor resurfacing & hydraulic fluid flush. Wish
I were close enough to do it for her.
Wonder if anyone could recommend a good & honest mechanic in the Baltimore
area.
TIA
