[MR2] AW-11 Blower Motor seems weak on high setting

I had a similar problem on my '87, ~ 10 yrs ago. I pulled the control assy from the center console; don't remember details, but I replaced it with a unit from a wrecking yard - no help. Then I pulled the blower motor itself, and confirmed it was dead. Replaced it with another from a yard, voila! - $50 solution.

YMMV.

Thanks guys -

I had one lister contact me off line and ask if I was putting out as much as 25 years ago - had to answer in the negative ;-)

I will check all the things you suggested - and it might be the shaft as I think - on high speed - I can hear it rattling around.

I guess once I get it open I would be able to physically move the blades laterally if the bearings are going out.

Will check the voltage too.

Thanks again...

Bill
