And when I had my Mk I '86 with 125K done two years ago, I was within 1ppm
of failure (on HC, as I recall). I assumed the cat was failing, and for
sure would have to replace it this time to get it to pass. Last month, had
it tested and passed, with HC about 2/3 of max allowable. Go figure. But,
perhaps another clue--a recent fillup only got ~20mpg! Hmm. Injectors
getting hinky? Thoughts?
