There are replacement terminals available but given that Toyota uses
2,581,425 different terminals, the odds of you finding the right one is
about zero.
Some dealers have a box with replacement terminals but will the plastic hold
up well enough to remove and replace the terminal anyway.

Subject: [MR2] anyone ever disassemble one of the green electrical
connections?
The saga with my 86 continues. I am apparently aggravating the old wiring
harness that, after 25 years of cooking by the engine - is rather fragile.
Trying to clear the area to find the broken O2 sensor wire (I think it is
one of the 2 solid black wires) - I pulled the plug on the distributor and
one of the lead in wires to the plug broke.
I went down to the wrecking yard and cut off a similar lead so I have an
extra plug - I'll probably just solder and heat shrink this new plug in
tomorrow.
But - in looking at these plugs it seems that the bottom part is designed to
come out (how else could the factory have installed the wires to the plug
in the first place?) - it would seem that you could pull the plug apart,
crimp in the wire and put the plug back together.
I did notice the last engine that was installed - there is a black plastic
cover that the wires go into between the cam covers and timing belt housing
- mine was missing - probably had disintegrated with the last engine
transplant.
I did managed to get another one at the yard although slightly broken - but
they do apparently protect the wiring harness from cooking right on the
engine - which mine had been doing.
What will ground these cars eventually I think is cooked wiring harnesses -
and as I have casually examined mine putting in a new one would be a bear
anyway. None of this stuff I have mentioned is available a the dealer
anymore...
Well, that is what is happening lately ...
Bill
