Has anyone tried one of those Impact Tools on the screws? In case you haven't seen one, a bit mounts in about a 1" diameter
body. Then you hit it with a hammer, which causes it to twist and at the same time seat the bit hard into the screw head.
This works good with screws that have seized on motorcycle crankcases. But in the motorcycle case, you've got a solid mass to
hammer against.
BTW, on reading Wikipedia I've discovered that Phillips screws are designed to push the bit out of the head when high torque
is applied.
The idea is to make the bit slip before the screw breaks. But that design leads to stripped heads when you try to remove one
that's been set with thread locker.
