Hi all,

Well, I am back home and all in one piece. :) It was a LONG year (seemed to
be much longer than last tour's 15 months). We saw some action, but Iraq is
a changed environment and it's actually more difficult for the warfighter.
<sigh> Whatever the case, I'm not looking to go back for a long time, if at
all.

As for the car, it's doing well. 245K on the clock and, when I went to get
it inspected, the dude who drove it in the parking lot to check the brakes
(as opposed to removing the tires, I guess) was impressed with the condition
of the car. The immediate worries are the seats need recovering or covers,
the rear bumper needs fixing (a moderate-speed rear-ender damaged some stuff
under the bumper cover and it hangs about .75 inches lower than it should)
and it needs a paint job. After that, it'll be top notch again. I'm going to
be working on these things over the next year (or shorter) and will be using
resources for parts that were here, if they are still here. :)
