[MR2] Dash lights flash

I bought my 86 in 1987 and the first one failed around 50,000 miles.
At the time there was no such thing as a rebuild so I ended up at the dealer
paying a fortune for a new one. That one failed 2 years later and I started
putting on lifetime guaranteed rebuilds. In the 10 years I owned the car I
went through a lifetime guaranteed rebuilt alternator 2 more times.

I know the rebuilds aren't worth much but given that 2 oem units failed
before 100,000 miles, well that isn't normal Toyota quality.

Huh? Likely just the brushes are worn out...hardly seems a quality issue,
unless they wore out at 50k or something.
