Another question I have pertains to the airbox. I've been considering
replacing the airbox with a high quality cone air filter
I have a 91 Turbo and if your air box would fit I would trade the open
element I have for your air box... after a while, the noise of an open air
filter starts to be a pain on the highway...
Another issue, that does not entirely concern me, but almost does is, my
plugs are all very white. Cylinder 1 and 2 were pretty white, Number 3 and 4
were not as white, but whitish. I am concerned about the fuel system.
Sounds like it is burning fine...
Current plan would be to replace the fuel filter, and hope that fixes it,
The filter is so huge that it is designed to be a lifetime part... never a
bad idea to change but don't expect any real difference in the performance.
pray the fuel pump is ok.
It's fine... these units are almost bulletproof... not that you want to
shoot a bullet into your gas tank to find out.
In the MK2, Is there an overhead access for the fuel pump?
Nope...
Or must you do the dreaded dropping of the Fuel tank to replace the fuel
pump?
It isn't as bad as you would think with some tall jack stands... it is just
labor.
(And then cut an access door if you ever want to change your fuel pump
again...)
Not a bad concept but probably not worth the effort. The pumps really do
last a long time and removing the console and all of the associated stuff
would almost take as long...
And does anyone have a good place to source Fenders and bumpers cheap? Ebay
seems to be cheapest right now, I'm going to try Certifit, but It doesn't
look like they carry MR2 parts.
