  Has anyone here ever challenged a violation written against an aftermarket exhaust system that was no louder than the factory
  exhaust?

  Hi James,
          Other than the Greddy SP, and the HKS Sport exhaust, I don't believe there ARE any aftermarket exhausts for the SW20
  that are not louder than the stock exhaust. I believe both of those were CARB approved, and came with exemption stickers.
  Unfortunately, all they consisted of was a larger, shinier version of the stock muffler, so in addition to no increase in
  volume, there was also no increase in performance.
