Check your frame rails where the front antisway bar attaches. My '92 with
an aftermarket (larger) front antisway bar cracked the frame where the
central bar pivots are located. In fact, it cracked the frame in 4 places and tore
out one threaded frame insert that the swaybar bolts into. The cracked
frame parts rubbing together created an intermittent squeak similar to what you
mention. IMHO, the stock frame is simply not strong enough to allow
'vigorous use' of an oversized front swaybar.

The big bar plus 225-50 x 16 rear tires (205-50x 15 fronts) cured the
extreme nervousness of the stock '91-92 MR-2 rear end, so I wanted to keep it. I
fabricated a 1/4" thick steel plate to fit under the cracked area, and
welded the frame cracks and the 1/4" thick doubler to the bottom, then reattached
the aftermarket swaybar. So far, that's worked. Good luck- J Deryke
