I'm not sure if you took the engine out for inspection since your original post, but if not, I'm going to second J Deryke comment and highly recommend you remove it for closer inspection.  As has already been mentioned, the parts you should be concerned about are the crank journals (must be smooth and polished in appearance), the rod big ends (need to be measured and resized if necessary), and the main bores.  You'll also need to take a look at the camshafts and cam bores since spun bottom end bearings tend to take those out as well.  Once all of that is done, you must CLEAN everything extremely well to make sure you don't get any residual bits of bearing circulating through the oiling sytem.  Good luck!

 

>From memory, I believe the grooves on the thrust washers face outwards (away from each other).  You may want to double check with others though.
