[MR2] Seeking 5SFE engine

My '91 NA MR2 5SFE engine decided to act up over the weekend and seems 
to have a rod that's making a terrible racket.  Advice seems to be that 
a new engine is in order, and figured I'd ask on the list to see if 
anyone has any recommendations to acquire a rebuilt or original 5SFE 
that can be installed.  I've found a shop that can pull and install the 
engine, as well as a shop that can do a total rebuild, but wanted to 
check my options and see if anyone has anything to guide me in a solid 
direction.
