The clutch on the Turbo has felt weak recently, so we replaced the clutch master
cylinder. But we still have another problem – when the clutch pedal is
depressed, as the pedal gets close to the floor, it gets pulled down and sticks

Underneath the dash, we don’t readily see what the issue is with the clutch
return (?) plate. The assembly is made up of this plate, a couple of springs,
and a pivot assembly. The springs extend as the clutch is depressed, but as the

It seems that this spring should remain under tension the entire time so that
the clutch will move up as pressure is removed. But – how many parts do we

Same thing with the MKI. It depends on the clutch disk springs to
push the pedal back off the floor. Once the clutch hydraulics are
properly bled, the clutch pedal should work fine.
