        He means coil on plug, like the Supra.

Wayne: There's no good reason to do coil on plug. The stock 3SGTE ignition is proven to easily support up to 500RWHP.

All MR2s have electronic ignition from the factory.  What were you thinking of - switching to a different ignition system
(MSD, etc) altogether?

switching to electronic ignition? If favorable which product(s) is recommended?
