[MR2] High Oil/Low Water Level

Gail; Sounds like you need more diagnosis before committing to major
repairs/exploratory surgery. You say you found no traces of water in the oil
you drained. Water & oil don't mix well, so depending upon the amount of
water in the oil, you will get a grayish to milky white emulsion. If your
oil was clear or even dark, but you could still see thru it enough to see
the full/add marks, I doubt if you have water in it. The water dripping from
the tailpipe is normal. A big cloud of steam/white exhaust (after engine is
fully warm) would indicate water getting into the combustion
chamber/cylinders. I would monitor the levels carefully now that you have
changed the oil. You also could take a sample of the used/drained oil and
send it to a lab for analysis. Ask your mechanic or parts store for such a
firm in your area. Good luck & ping me if you need further info. I have a
