Bill,
I have rebuilt a couple of Brake Master Cylinders. They are more likely to be rebuild successfully than the Clutch Master Cylinder. The Clutch will be more likely to have some wall problems.
I have used the Raybestos rebuild kit with some success. At least the older kits are very complete. i have found that the newer Raybestos wheel cylinder kits no longer have the rubber boots like the Toyota kits but that is another story. The old Raybestos kits were exactly like the one from Toyota.
Lately I have been using the "Lifetime" clutch Master Cylinder from Autozone. That thing lasts for about 5 to 7 years and then I just get another one.
All of my MK1s are '87 and newer so there might be a difference in the older Brake Master Cylinder. Next time I will check at the junk yard.
Dennis
