[MR2] MR2 Steering Wheels

Okay, taxes are done, and the weather was finally dry enough for long enough
to complete the first lawn-mowing of the year. Back to work on Mister Two.

I'm now putting the finishing touches on my Double DIN to Single DIN/turbo
timer/boost controller conversion. The plastic trim pieces I was going to
use to fill the spaces on either side of the boost controller/turbo timer
didn't work out, and I'm now making the pieces out of aluminum angle stock.
I'll prime and paint them satin black, as well as the new custom brackets I
made up to support the back of the JDM cupholder. I'm even going to slide a
black painted piece of styrene plastic in an appropriately located slot in
the bottom of the cupholder to cover up the space caused by the thick
double-backed foam tape I used to mounting the turbo timer and boost
controller. It's looking good.

Now, towards my obsessive/compulsive drive towards making a sixteen year old
car look like new, I've noticed in my status pictures that my steering wheel
looks REALLY worn. I think I saw a new MR2 airbag equipped steering wheel
for sale for about $750. I don't THINK so. I'd like to keep a factory
steering wheel though, in case someone plows into me and claims they're not
liable for crippling me because I disabled the car's safety features.
Better to be able to sue Toyota for a sixteen year old airbag squib that
didn't fire. Has anybody tried an aftermarket steering wheel cover such as
this one:

And been happy with its look and feel?

James
