shop for 5 days.  He says the problem occurs within the throttle body when it 
gets hot and replacing the throttle body will solve the problem.  They priced 
the part and quoted me $1,070.00 ~ YIKES!

They've got to be kidding.  It's not that complicated a part.  And a typical
failure mode is bushing wear for the throttle shaft.  Bushings can be
renewed but you might have to look hard for a carburetor rebuilding shop
to do the deed.

Hope that used one does the trick.
