[MR2] MK I engine check light

ya know...that was going to be my 2nd guess..I forgot what killed my O2
sensor, but i remember having a strange "check engine light' while driving
at highway speeds with no apparent problem...
the other funny thing was that my gas mileage didn't change when my o2
sensor was dead,b ut it was aaabsolutely dead...
easy check
