Bill,
 
I had to laugh when I read your comment about the Jr College with the day off. I remember that during my tour in the Air Force we were the only people working on the base. The civilians had the day off. 
 
I had a very easy tour while in the military. I guess they called the Air Force the military. I stayed in one place all four years, Biloxi MS. I had the best food. My wife always wanted to eat on base at the chow hall. This was during the Vietnam era so it could have been much worse.

Yesterday I stop at a Jr College seeing about polishing my skills in the 
computer industry - they decided to "honor" Veterans Day yesterday to give 
themselves a 3 day weekend - scumbags...
