Cant speak to the differences but I bought a knock off Greddy RS BOV and it works great. I think I paid $30 but I had to buy a greddy adapter $20 shipped off craigs list. Just go to ebay and do a search on "rs bov". You can adjust the spring tension for more boost. Not sure how much it will hold, probably more than most will attempt.

Subject: [MR2] MK2 Turbo Blow-Off Valve Questions

I am looking to replace a defective OEM Blow-Off Valve. Not yet having checked the price of the Toyota valve I searched for sources on Ebay. I found valves that are suppose to work but are listed as Type S, SP and RS. What is the difference in these valves? I do not want a valve that is noisy like the HKS but one like the OEM. Most of the valves on Ebay say they do not come with installation instructions. I do see that most come with two vacuum fittings like the OEM. I would guess that they would take the same connections that would include the OEM check valve.

My OEM valve has a vacuum leak. Too bad these are not rebuildable. If the OEM valve is close in price to the aftermarket I will go that route.

Dennis
