[MR2] MK2 running cold

not saying the two plastic sheets are not needed, but how long are you 
talking about for warming up?  if your temp guage is barely rising, then 
your thermostat may be busted (they break in the open position, thankfully, 
most of the time)

if the gauge is acting weird and going normal or 1/4 the way up and staying 
there, then your temp sending unit could be out.   $15 and the green tabbed 
thing on the water neck

i don't think there is enough airflow coming in that would prevent your car 
from heating properly as the thermostat would just say closed.  I mean, i've 
personally driven in -10F weather with no problems, i doubt normal weather 
with more aiflow would cause it to stop heating up properly.
