[MR2] <MKIINA> STIFF throttle

Hi all,

My future son-in-law's '93 na auto has had a problem that I need some help
with. The gas pedal is REALLY stiff. I have checked the throttle cables
individually but can't find anything. When I disconnect the cable from the
cruise actuator, the pedal is really soft. I can move the cruise actuator as
well as the throttle at the TB as easily as I on my '91, but when everything
is put together, you have to be a world-class leg press dude to get the car
to go AND, there is no easing into the throttle. It's kinda like the trigger
on my Remington .308. You put pressure on it until you are suddenly gone!

What am I overlooking?
