I have a Japan motor for my 85 MKI, the motor is from an automatic, so it
has no oil cooler on the oil pan and it has no EGR valve. Is it important to
swap the oil pan to use the cooler, and will the car run without the EGR (I
have no emissions check) in my 5-speed 85?

I am just trying to avoid opening the low mileage motor and want to use it
just like it is. It is exactly like the one in my car now other than the
flywheel and lack of oil cooler.
