Yes and no.

It's an old piggy-back unit that also gets rid of the factory air metering system and replaces it with it's own pressure/temperature sensor...  Allows compensation for different injectors and modifications as well.  Just using it as a good example of a system NOT affected by a recirc'd BOV.
