Hi guys. Now that I have time to catch my breath from the craziness of
the last few weeks, I thought I'd post an update on a couple of problems I'd
sought help for a while back.
First, the low pedal on my 85 turned out to be the usual culprit after
all - the master cyl was bad, even tho it had a firm pedal, no signs of a
leak.
Second, the frt sus clatter on my 88 was mostly loose top strut rod
nuts, which I'd thought of, but didn't have time to check out myself. There
was a little play in the rack bushing, so I had my friendly mechanic replace
that while he was at it = no more noise, and a nice tight suspension again.
This was esp nice since I took it for my trip from OH down through the
NC and N GA mountains this past weekend on some of the prettiest, twistiest
roads anywhere. Great fun in an mr2! Thanks again for the suggestions,
and I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! I am personally thankful for
discovering the mr2 and this group. :) Cheers, Ron.
