It isn't so much that the foam has lost it's shape it is that the wire on
the left side has started to rip though the foam.
It isn't cosmetic yet but you can feel it.

Subject: [MR2] Seat Bottom Foam
My mr2 has the black leather seats. I forget what it was priced at last time
I tried it but last time it was available it was over $2000 I think - an
upholstery friend told me to go to Tandy and got about $100 we got a tanned
black hide
Bob on the foam are you sure it is "worn"? Funny thing at this time I am
waiting for a spring box assembly from Germany for the 300E - those springs
break - but the mr2 seat is so simple compared to that - simple and durable
- there are so springs per se just the foam and wire (metal) supports as I
recall - I had a seat apart once...has the foam lost its shape?
Well, just rambling tonight...
Bill
