[MR2] Powder coat rims?

After hitting Wikipedia I at least have a clue what heat-annealed is but
they don't have anything about Aluminum.  

I assume that wouldn't be an issue with aluminum...

If your rims are heat-annealed before powder coating - they probably lose
this protection when re-heated.

Some list I was on made a big deal about powder coating and the fact that
they heat the wheels too much.

Since I am not an engineer I have no idea if this is a problem so if some
engineer out there can clear this up I would like to know.  I would spend
the money on a set of rims I have
