[MR2] Powder coat rims?

Some list I was on made a big deal about powder coating and the fact that
they heat the wheels too much.

Since I am not an engineer I have no idea if this is a problem so if some
engineer out there can clear this up I would like to know.  I would spend
the money on a set of rims I have

Anyone know who can powder coat OEM rims in Tampa Bay area?

Has anyone done that with thiers?  If so, how did it come out?
