[MR2] mk1 tires

They're not cheap, but I HIGHLY recommend the Toyo Proxes RA-1 ( http://www.toyo.com/docs/tires/tires.asp?lpid=18968&name=Proxes%20RA-1%99&category=comp ) for their dry-weather performance. They stick like glue, and wear if far better than the treadware rating would suggest. They are worthless in snow, but decent enough in the rain that I originally learned about them through a friend that used them as his wet-weather autocross tire.

I have the RA-1s on both of my 1989 SC MR2s:
1) Black 89 SC - stock wheels with 205/5514s
2) Blue 89 SC - 14x7 wheels with 225/50/14s

Regards,

Subject: [MR2] mk1 tires

Hi gang. I know this is a tired topic (insert groan here), but I need
 some
input on 195/60-14's for my 88 mk1. Good dry, wet traction, reasonable

wear, price. Hum I've been hearing was a bad tire, not the wheel
 bearing I
feared (no zebras here, thankyou very much - it was a horse). TIA,
 Ron.
