Dang it, Marc, now you got me to thinking, and that is almost always
trouble. At the end of a 1/4 mile I'm out of revs in third gear, and
the options are either rev the engine out more (tempting fate), change
to a taller final drive (cheap and relatively easy) or swap to a C160
(not cheap) and go through the lights in fourth gear. Fourth in a C160
would give me 98 mph compared to the 92 mph I have now. I'm starting to
wonder whether four tightly spaced gears might produce a better ET than
three wider ones with a taller final drive. That's assuming I can shift
them quickly enough not to make a fool of myself.

Well, poop. I guess I'll have to sell some more old Corolla parts out
of the garage. Anybody need a fresh 2TG?
