[MR2] FW: engine compartment buzzy whine

  This is not a 'whine' but a bad rattle at one particular engine rpm, 2100. It sounds like a mechanical resonance. The engine has no unusual noises above and below this speed.

About 7weeks back I posted a question "'93 turbo, 76,000mi: buzzy whine in synch with the engine, seems to be from the right side"
It turned out to be the timing belt tensioner pulleys; one worse than the other. Dealer found the problem, changed water pump, antifreeze, belts, oil seals, timing belt, and oil and charged three arms and four legs. They dropped the engine to do the work. I might have liked to do it but simply wasn't getting any round tuits. The pulleys whined even when off the car when he spun them.
