I was wondering if 17x8.0 with +25 offset and a 17x9 with +20 offset in the rear would fit on my 91. I was going to go with a 215/40/17 and a 255/40/17. What about a +48 offset?

i need some feedback, see if this would be a good idea. i wanna buy a 2002-2004 mr2 spyder for $2000-$4000. obviously it would need to have alot of mileage, but then swap the motor for a 2zz-ge, for under $4000 maybe, and install a nice turbo for under $5000, hence having a powerful mr2 with a almost new engine and turbo for the same price as i would get a low mileage mr2 same year at stock price. i just wanna know if there would be any problems with parts around the engine over time, considering it would be a newer engine. and if it would be well worth the money?

Plans for my SW20

Ive been planning out my project car, made some changes along the way but ive pretty well settled on what I want to do.

My car is currently powered by a JDM 3S-GTE swap, and has several minor modifications on it.

I want to lightly modify the car and its engine, and build a high output engine on a stand to swap in at a later date. This should minimize the downtime.

The parts I have collected or currently have installed on the car:

- Autometer EGT sensor and gauge
- Autometer boost gauge
- Greddy Full Auto Timer
- Apexi Power intake
- Blitz SSBV (not recirculated, had previously planned a custom recirculation system)
- Short shifter with RAZO shift knob
- Bomex front bumper
- Bomex(?) side skirts (trashed and need replacement)
- Rear bumper modified (need replacement)
- Custom machined throttle body inlet
- ATS 3" downpipe
- HKS Vein Pressure Converter
- HKS Fuel Cut Defender

The modifications that I have planned for the current engine are:

- Install HKS VPC, and Super Mega Flow intake filter. (by removing Apexi power intake, and OEM MAF currently installed, converting to speed density type of intake system)
- Replace custom machined throttle body inlet with new custom machined throttle body inlet that has sensor bung machined for VPC's intake air temperature sensor
- Machine custom water neck to clock coolant hoses by 90 degrees to allow straight intake pipe from compressor inlet
- Install straight intake pipe between filter and compressor inlet, and heat shield intake filter
- Raise fuel cut with HKS FCD
- Replace OEM side mount intercooler and piping with ST205 Air to Water intercooler system
- Replace Greddy Full Auto Timer with HKS turbo timer
- Install HKS electronic boost controller and increase boost to 16 psi
- Replace current Blitz SSBV blow off valve with HKS SSBV blow off valve
- Install 3" ATS downpipe, 3" HKS Hi-Power exhaust
- Install adjustable fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge
- Install custom TVIS controller
- Install wideband O2 sensor and AFR gauge
