Edmund's has identified 135 new, fun-to-drive high
performance automobile models based on their fast acceleration,
short breaking distance, and excellent ability to hold the road.
These models are fully described and priced in Edmund's new 408-
page book entitled "High Performance Automobiles," now available
at newsstands and bookstores for $5.99. For the selected
automobile models, the book provides critical reviews,
performance and safety data, road-test driving impressions,
standard and optional equipment, and complete MSRP and Dealer
invoice price information.
For your information, here is a list of most of the fun-to-
drive models in order of overall performance. Listed next to each
model are acceleration time (number of seconds to go from zero to
60 MPH), braking distance (number of feet to go from 60 to zero
MPH), and the road holding index (numbered as a percentage of one g
of force; the closer to 1, the better).
