My Lovely MR2 was purchaced in Hong Kong on October,1996. We are the 2nd hand
owners and it is in good condition now. It is a red one and I haven't thought
about to change it to some kind of "ugly" yellow or purple.

It is very popular for Hong Kong drivers to modify their MR2 heavily, no matter
internally or externally. I think this has really destroyed the original beauty
of MR2, and I really feel sorry for them. For me, I have just modified the
suspensions to hard ones with the brand of "GAB", the air-exhale was modified
to "5-ZIGEN" and the wheels and tired were changed to 16-inches ones. Personally,
I think this is enough for modifying a MR2 in Hong Kong. You will just waste
your money if you do more.

I haven't tried to drive really fast with my MR2, because it is really rare for
me to have chance to do it. Everywhere are radars and traffic, and I just
don't have chance to try. The highest speed, so far that I've tried, was 160KM.
Well, you may laugh at me about that but I tell you, it was really risky to do
this for Hong Kong road structure.
The (same car level) road-racing opponents for MR2 in Hong Kong are mostly
Civic (Vtech), Mitshibishi Lancer, and Acura Intergra. And of course, which
car wins which is simply depends on who the driver is!
My experience so far for driving my MR2 is, "Watch out those sharp corners!"
It can easily make your MR2 spin and lose control! This may due to the structure
of the car, for it happens to most of the mid-engine or rear-engine
ones. Suitable modification will help together with good driving skills!
I am deciding to sell our lovely MR2 before October,1997, because by that time,
I have to take it for car-checking. This is required by the government, and
I think I certainly won't pass the test with my modification.
