Location: Singapore
Car: 1990, MkII Turbocharged, Super Red
Mileage: 55000km km
I've had an '85 mr2 normally aspirated which I had an HKS stroker kit installed
as well as a pair of 264deg intake 256deg exhaust cam fitted. I also installed
an open K & N filter, HKS header and exhaust and ported and polished the valves.
The car was lowered on to a set of Koni yellow label adjustable shocks and ran
a set of Zender Trophy 15" rims with Dunlop SP8000 tires. It was heaven!
I now drive a '90 MKII Turbo Japanese model. I only fitted a K&N filter an a
Greddy (Trust) turbo exhaust system. The car is lowered on to a set of Jamex
Springs only as the standard shocks work fine. This car runs on a set of Enkei
17" rims with Dunlop SP8000 tires (only the best rubber!). The car runs great
and with the filter/exhaust setup, actually run on higher boost. This is still
"safe" for standard fuel delivery. A boost controller, ignition system and higher
volume fuel delivery setup is in the pipelines.
