Location: Singapore
Car: 1994, MkII Turbocharged, Super-White
Mileage: 103088 km
Just shortly before I imported my MR2 into the country,I was driving
A Turbo-charged Nissan 200sx. My MR2 was purchased in Japan and was
shipped to my country for further inspection and testing. Strangly enough,
the MR2 is not a very popular car here in Singapore. Any way the car
arrived in the docks of Singapore sometime in mid January and was moved
to the Registry of vehicles for the tests. My car was compounded for three
weeks before it was then approved roadworthy. Months passed and my
friends have labeled the car "the selfish car" & "the balistic missile"
Modifications made were much followed from TOM'S. Trust gauages, turbo,
valve pressure and tourque. The exhaust system comes from Trust as well.
Brakes are huge ones. Mounted on all four are Brembo brakes and the rims
that could only fit without scraping the callipers come from
O.Z Racing. The air intake is by courtesy of K&N filters.(Quite trouble-
some really, cause during rainy days, I've gotta take out the roof mounted
port and cover the filter with a piece of plastic to prevent water from
entering.) The interior however, is an array of MOMO stuff.MOMO short-
shift, MOMO t bar steering wheel, and MOMO bucket seats.THe paddle
covers are from RAZO.And the most recent addition was a Gready turbo
timer. The timing box was bought over from a friend in the U.S..
It was programmed by Steve Millen of L.A..The bodykit follows that
of the TOM'S MR2. A costom built flywheel Height adjustable shocks which
are also custom, from Koenig. And lastly, the whole cars' stereo set is a
Pioneer Deh 812 built in DSP and a PIoneer Eq. The subs are Kicker
Solo-bearics in a custom made box,the tweeters and mids are MB Quartz.
The car's Alarm system is a Viper's 600 with engine kill.
The air filters have just been changed to K&N'S open element
filters.
SO far I've been pretty lucky,NO ACCIDENTS!!!!
I'm really glad to own such a car. You should see me blow all my
friends souped up Hondas' and Nissans' off the road.
Anyway, hope to here what you guys do to your cars and e-mail me
if you need more information of my car.P.S. I will be mounting on
larger turbos some time next month, so if you guys, have already done so
why not tell me what brand and how large are your turbos, cause I still
saving up and still scouting around.
Till then,
Ken Jonathan
