The quality of the above model is not great but it is fairly
detailed. The only thing about this model is that the plastic
wheels don't fit the model correctly, they are *way* to big to
boot. Nothing opens on this model, and the dash is totally wrong!
There is also 2-3 times the normal space behind the seats!
It's a MarkII with a t-roof (panels are out)
The bottom of the car says "Made in China" :-) However, the box it
came in gives: AR-GEE Hobby Collection Ltd., P.O.B. 11 - EPE Holland
as the maker.

This model is pictured in the above catalog. It looks highly
detailed and accurate. It is mounted on a black plaque with the
make (Marsh Models) in white letters on one corner. This is a
left hand drive MkII with a sun roof. Looking at the picture, I
could swear that they have a wiper blade and arm mounted at the
base of the rear spoiler that looks like it would wipe the trunk
deck!!! Weird! Other than this, it looks *nice* (Better be for
$129!)

This should be the same as the above model, only that *you* have to
assemble this one.

I ordered this model, however, it was marked as "NO LONGER IN
PRODUCTION" and not available.

This model is a MkI and possibly an early prototype of it. The
trunk and engine deck open. The head lights pop up via a push button
on the bottom of the car (the front trunk opens this way too). Both
doors open as well. There are the words "Toyota" on the front hood
and frnt license plate. The rear plate says "SV3".
The model is made in Japan and the maker is Tomica (Tomy) The label
on the bottom of the car says "Toyota SV-3".
The box is mostly in Japanese, however, I've listed the statistics
listed on the bottom (question marks are Japanese characters)

The Japanese model manufacturer Fujimi seems to have the only/best collection of MR2 models available. Here is a listing of the kits (some may or may not be available, I suggest you follow the hobby shop links to determine this)

Toyota MR2 GT. Older style tail light and honeycomb centre. left and right hand drives. 1/24 scale. Targa top. Turbo. 3-piece spoiler. Additional HUGE spoiler, lower front air dam, and twin exhaust pipes PER SIDE. Oil cooler (?) that fits between spoiler and body. 17" gold wheels and Brembo brakes (as well as standard brakes).

Toyota MR2 GT. Newer rounded tail lights with reverse lights in center piece. Left and right hand drives. 1/24 scale. Targa top. Turbo. 1 piece spoiler. Additional brembo brakes (plus stock ones), steering wheel, GPS unit, CD player, Cell phone etc etc (see side pic). Black centre 6 spoke 17" wheels with red rim (see pics)..
