Mon Feb 2 12:09:53 1998 Sirtric Dilworth (200.dallas-07.tx.dial-access.att.net) I purchased Probe GT (a definite mistake!) right after becoming interested in Import Racing & Tuning. Now, I'm upside down on my loan (meaning I owe more than the car's worth), and I'm looking to buy a Senor Dos. Any suggestions???????
Mon Feb 2 14:57:24 1998 Manuel F. Macedo (louis.telepac.pt)

Tue Feb 3 05:23:24 1998 Tuomas Kononen (cache-hki-4.inet.fi) Best sites what i have seen. Reliefs pain while saving up for own MR2. In Finland Naturally aspirated MR2 costs three times more than Turbocharged version in USA. Turbocharged is not even available. Lucky you!

Wed Feb 4 02:46:17 1998 David Vespremi (sf-usr1-17-145.dialup.slip.net) Hi All... I'd like to purchase an inexpensive Greddy exhaust for my '93 Non-turbo MKII - new, used or demo models all OK. If anyone has one for sale (especially in the Bay Area) please email me privately. I'd also appreciate hearing any opinions from non-turbo owners who have done this upgrade in conjungtion with a modified air intake (K&N, powerflow etc.) regarding performance gains (especially dyno verified) as well as driveability and exhaust durability. Thanks!
Wed Feb 4 15:35:10 1998 Richard Salo (198.110.213.182) Does anyone know of any MR-2 rallies planned for anywhere in N. America? I own a 1991 cherry red Mark II MR-2, would like to find any accessories available. Mail info to me at 7563 S. Lake Bluff 0.5 Drive Gladstone, MI 49837 USA
Wed Feb 4 21:13:14 1998 Frank Turner (ts008d44.atl-ga.concentric.net) Very nice site. Here in Atlanta Iv'e seen just about every kind of car club but MR-2 enthusiasts, and it's good to finally hook up with some, even if it is electronically.
Wed Feb 4 23:44:53 1998 Chuck Hawks (hdn102-056.hil.compuserve.com) I miss the national club. Is there a club in North Carolina that you know of?
Thu Feb 5 00:26:28 1998 Warren Wylie (proxy.connect.ab.ca) ROCKING WEB PAGE!!!!! This page has everything an MR2 owner could ever want for info, pics, anything! you name it, it's here!! i've linked you up, this page is so good!!
Thu Feb 5 02:53:06 1998 x (DHCP-128-40.nashville.org) x
Thu Feb 5 03:36:28 1998 Alex Parman (DHCP-128-40.nashville.org) First of all, sorry about the "x" test. I am borrowing this computer and I am not allowed to leave an e-mail address. The fate of the MR2 and other small, fun cars is tied in with safety/perceived safety. I would feel confident in an MR2 and I would love to own one, but there is a wretched cancer spreading like wildfire out there on the roads today. The SUV craze. With it comes such horrendous vehicles as the F-150, Dodge Ram, Range Rover, Toyota 4-runner, and other rediculously tall hideous creations. All the above stated vehicles have bumpers (hell, the whole FRAME) that are at an altitude that renders all the safety systems in a "traditional" height vehicle worthless. Side impact beams, bumpers and the rigid structures that back them up, these critical items are designed with the height of the other cars in mind. Now that one in five vehicles on the road are giant SUVs, the chance of getting steamrolled over has gone up, way up. People don't feel safe in a fun little car when they are surrounded by these monsters. It may not be apparent that five-six inches more height is a problem, yet in the most serious collision, head-on, the MR2's bumper (or any typical CAR'S bumpers) will first contact the SUV's front tires, meanwhile the SUV's bumper has easily mashed through the softer materials above the MR2 bumper. Now the MR2 is pushed downward and its crushed upper unibody forms a rudementary ramp to guide the SUV up and onto the crushing MR2. In a very heavy front collision it is entirely possible for the SUV to land IN the car. And side impacts? If some drunk in his SUV runs a light and t-bones you, his bumper is over your side impact protection and crushing your shoulder/head. The manufacturers are selling this sense of off-road adventure and safety to the masses who will never go off-road and who will be safe at the expense of whatever they hit.
Thu Feb 5 11:35:58 1998 Chad (gs5.cinti.net) Thank you for that happy, cheery, idea but part of driving is defensively. It's the same if you own a motorcycle. But anyway here in Cinci ,OH we just got hit with a bunch of snow. All I can say is it takes a special driver to drive a MR2 in the snow. I am now looking into snow tires. Does anyone have any brands they swear by when it comes to snow tires. Thanx. Happy driving.
Thu Feb 5 15:59:25 1998 Alex (207.102.21.253) Well I've finally passed the 40,000 kilometre mark in my MkII Turbo. Bought it at 36K on the meter for a disgustingly low price. Anyone else out there got lower mileage than me? As far as I know I've got the lowest in BC for an SW20 turbo, but I'm not sure about the rest of Canada or the States. Any other Vancouverites interested in street drag racing? I know all the spots, just crowded with Integras waiting for a beating (and some Golf's that think they're fast too, snicker)! =>
Thu Feb 5 16:20:27 1998 richie (ww-tc02.proxy.aol.com) does any company have a aftermarket turbo for a 85 mr2
Fri Feb 6 07:20:47 1998 Chuck (1Cust107.tnt14.det3.da.uu.net) My daughter has a 92 NA. She claims that passengers are getting "shocked" when they reach for the door handle to exit the car. Could the power windows or door locks be the culprit? Anyone have a similar problem?
Fri Feb 6 13:51:29 1998 Rick Truby (139.102.73.60) Hello Toyota owners! I am currently without a Toyota. :( I owned an '89 Celica GT for a little over 8 yrs. (loved it) Anyways, just wanted to complement all of you on your cars, and on your website! I am currently in the process of starting a local import enthusiasts group in Terre Haute, IN and would like to pass along my sympathies to those who also live here, and to extend an invitation to join our group.... We are in the first stages of the group, but so far it looks like there is my '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T, an '89 Supra Turbo, '88 Prelude, '89 Integra, '92 Talon (we made an exception), '95 Mazda MX-6 (v6 ls), and a '92 Mazda MX-3. Like I said, we are just getting started (maybe a week and a half into it!) Anyways, thumbs up on the website, and thanks for the space to include my thoughts! (if any of you get a chance, check out www.dsm.org or www.mw.dsm.org) Thanks again.....and make sure to blow some Mustang 5.slows off the road!
Fri Feb 6 19:24:42 1998 Stephane Blanchard (port117.magma.ca) Great site continue the good work. I just bought a 1993 MR2 turbo.
Fri Feb 6 21:54:17 1998 Shane Lee (p46-max35.auck.ihug.co.nz)
Fri Feb 6 21:56:53 1998 Ryan Collins (dial-6.r03.ncelrb.InfoAve.Net) I just have to say that the MR2, or "duece" as I call it kicks some serious ass! You can't beat 'em...EVER!!!
Fri Feb 6 22:01:08 1998 Jeremy (XYP5-PORT10.sonoma.edu) Hey hows it going everybody? Well I currently own a 1991 N/A MR2 and I was wondering if anybody had any advise on the new HKS Super Mega Flows for my car. I'm thinking about purchasing one and am kind of skeptic about using a sponge. I heard that there were problems with the sponges before because they kept breaking apart and getting in the engine but that the new ones are fine. I going to being purchasing within the next week and would appreciate any advise or help on the subject matter. thanks....
Sat Feb 7 18:13:07 1998 Antonio Conceicao (207-172-57-166.s166.tnt2.ann.erols.com) I own a MR2 91 with 90k miles on it. What a great car, is their any clubs around the washington D.C area.
Sat Feb 7 18:33:08 1998 Neil Anderson (ww-tn02.proxy.aol.com) After 2 years of searching I found an A1 '89, thank heaven it only took me 2 months to find this site.
Sun Feb 8 06:40:35 1998 Apollo Tofte (ww-tf06.proxy.aol.com) well well well... the battle of the imports is coming at the end of the month.. needless to say i was disapointed when a total of about 3 MR2s attended the last one in October.. So if you are in the southern california are, and want to drag that MR2 of yours past those Hondas, then come on out on Feb 28 and March 1st... try to catch me breaking into the 13's with only NOS and slicks... catch me if you can.. for more info go to battleoftheimports.com
Sun Feb 8 06:51:50 1998 jhun madlangbayan (pm1-004.guam.netpci.com) Anyone know how or where I can get a header or bolt on turbo for my 1991 mr2 NA. Appreciate if anyone can provide me with any sort of info.
Mon Feb 9 00:13:48 1998 m.wilson (166-68-97.ipt.aol.com) the old body style mr2 lines aren't as sleek as the new design. I don't care for the old, but the 91 and newer have great potential.
Mon Feb 9 11:15:23 1998 Kevin Grimaldi (rm025-35.lib.fsu.edu) What is an Aeroware Kit and can I get one for my 94 Turbo? Also, does anyone have any pictures of the MKII w/ nice rims that I could look at. I need suggestions.
Mon Feb 9 15:39:22 1998 Fred Dimalanta (mai.sea.kiewit-pbd.com) '86 MK I na Black 95k miles. Bought it in '88. One sweet machine. When they said "Big things come in small packages" they MUST have been talking about the MR-2.
Mon Feb 9 19:41:17 1998 Alex Wang (ww-tp04.proxy.aol.com) This is a great page. I have an '86 silver mr2, runs great but had some problems in the past(i.e busted head gasket, and body damage like rust. My dream car is either the '91 mr2 turbo or the brand new mr-s's that thing is bad ass.
Mon Feb 9 21:38:57 1998 Mister Au (ww-te02.proxy.aol.com) Love this car.
Tue Feb 10 12:59:46 1998 Stephen J. Baltes (wwwp.goodyear.com) I've been through the Triumph line-up (TR-3/4/7/8/Spitfire/GT-6), An Austin-Healey 3000, Porsche 924, M-B 380SL, a Lotus Eclat, and various Honda and Toyota vehicles (Corolla SR-5((2)), Celica GT, Van), Corvair Monza's (Coupe and Convertibles) among others and have always been fascinated by the MR-2. I've looked at several late models as an interesting Toy to play with as middle age approaches. Interesting site, very informative!
Tue Feb 10 14:03:25 1998 Randy Garrison (ww-tp01.proxy.aol.com) Just a little reminder...V-6's fit into MR2's but I need a manual trasmission from a '97-'98 Camry V-6. If anybody knows the whereabouts of this transmission please e-mail me. I build V-6 5-speed Camrys all night long but my friendly security officers would probably question me why I'm taking a transmission out of the plant, ya think? Please, send help in form of an e-mail...my baby is waiting on a heart transplant. I desperately need to go faster but if you go too fast you might be last. Words to live by or die by depending on your point of view. Long live Toyota...maker of the great MR2.
Tue Feb 10 18:56:27 1998 pepe (35.gate3.kadena.attnet.or.jp) I live in japan and I have always loved the mr2 design, I was wondering if you have any pictures of the convertable mr2 that is in Japan? Also, their is a complete listing and owners booklet in Japanese about the mr2 that is very interesting. It gives you all the parts listings of upgrades and tire sizes and even engine parts. The book costs about 20 dollars and is a good buy. I was wondering if you ever seen it?
Wed Feb 11 12:46:56 1998 Tamer Osman (ubppp-248-034.ppp-net.buffalo.edu) I was wondering what the japanise version mr2 has that we don't have. I know they have 245 hp, but why, is there boost higher? Thanks and take care
Wed Feb 11 23:48:20 1998 Byron McKenna (slip129-37-55-97.ca.us.ibm.net) I own a '93 non-turbo, currently 50K w/ NO problems. The car is superb. Have also owned '86 which, though different was excellent also. Am considering '94 Turbo but couldn't sell current one and hard to justify two.
Thu Feb 12 01:12:42 1998 Vince Yang (ww-th04.proxy.aol.com) I have a bright red, 91 Mr2 Turbo. I've suited it up with a HKS VPC, Greddy Profec B boost controller, Greddy turbo timer, MSD 6BTM ignition box with Blaster 3 coil, Nology Hot wires, Sard Blow off valve, autometer boost guage, custom 3 inch cat back exhaust with dual 5 inch tip, tweak the turbine on the stock turbo to better the compression. On the ground with 17 by 8 chrome 5 star rims with 215/40/ZR17 in front and 235/35/ZR17 on the rear. An HKS turbo upgrade with an intercooler is on the way as I speak. My best time on the 1320 is 12.78 sec. I should break the 11's with my new turbo. I know a special way of achieving higher boost on the Toyota Turbo for just $5.00...... Yep! you could hit 12psi with just $5.00...................Even higher , but not recommended.........................................
Thu Feb 12 09:59:04 1998 Mike Calautti (amh-ma1-03.ix.netcom.com) Own 1998 MK1. Looking for black floor mats. Does anyone know of sources, for ethier OEM, or after market supplier (even if there custom made). Thanks, Mike

Thu Feb 12 15:41:24 1998 Les Harrison (p53-falcon-gui.tch.virgin.net) Can anybody tell how and where i can get my hands on a TRD2000GT bodykit for my 1990, MR2 Turbo. I also need a Greddy or HKS,[or similar], performance exhaust for my car, a used or new system would be OK. I dont mind paying for shipping costs, so you dont have to be in the UK to sell me your Exhaust. This little car has got to be the one of the most underated to ever hit the streets......Loads of Fun ! If you own an MR2 and live in the northwest of the UK, i know of a really good garage that specialises in MR2's, they are just outside Liverpool. The guys know what they are doing with Mister Two's, they are honest with their estimates and they are not expensive. If it is mechanical repair, servicing or paintwork/accident repair they are the guys to speeak to. If you want to use their services give me a call and i will get you a good rate..........Thanks......Les.
Thu Feb 12 21:46:57 1998 Kenji Morishige (lobster.galatia.com) This is a awesome site!! I just got a '89 MR2 NA. I love it, but I still am trying to find info about how I can make it run better and upgrade/tune it up. If you have any suggestions for a stock '89 MR2 send me a email!
Thu Feb 12 21:49:54 1998 Kenji Morishige (lobster.galatia.com) Check this picture archive out on my server: Nippon Kuruma

Fri Feb 13 19:50:12 1998 Stephen Zysk (ppp-207-193-21-203.stlsmo.swbell.net) I LOVE MY MR2 SO MUCH!!!! Its the first car I've ever bought and what a first it is! I own an 87 and it is the greatest. All my friends love it and I get compliments on it all the time. This page is great too! I love it! I'm only 16 and my MR2 rules the road! MR2 LOVER FOREVER!!!!!!
Sat Feb 14 11:39:12 1998 Kozo Sasaki (ppp196085.asahi-net.or.jp) I own a 97 mr2 (turbo) and I just love it! It goes really really fast and I love the noise you can hear from the back, too. Before I got it I was worried that mr2s are not very useful because they have room for 2 people only, and the booth is small too, but now I just do not care about those matters. I love them just the way they are!!!!
Sat Feb 14 21:08:00 1998 Chia Yang (spider-to10.proxy.aol.com) I feel this is the only place that I can trust to put up my "baby" for an adoption... He is a '93 MR2 non turbo. He has a Greddy exhaust, S&N air filter, 17" OZ aluminum rims all around w/ 215 in the front and 235 in the rear and the Spiralmax. For those who does not know what Spiralmax is, it is a simple stainless steel device that goes in the air intake hose. It creates a cyclone motion as the air passes through it. Works like magic... This is just on the performance side. He also has a New Alpine (3 cd changer in-dash) stereo unit, and some other extras. He has 70,000 miles and he keeps all the maintainance receipts as well. He has ever been "bad" nor has gotten in trouble with other "kids" in the blocks. He is clean all the way around just a couple of scratches. I hate to depart from him but I have a bad back and can not play with him like I used to. I am looking for someone who is willing to take good care of him and show him the ropes....
Sun Feb 15 16:41:59 1998 Steve Law (line60.fichte.zen.co.uk) I have A Celica GT4 ST165 and I am thinking of trying to get a GReddy Exhaust into the UK. Does anyone know how and also what sort of performance gains I'm likely to see if I do. P.S This site is great for MR2 owners does anyone know of one for the Celica??.
Sun Feb 15 21:02:22 1998 Travis Thornton (205.169.183.16) I own a 1988 MR2 Supercharger with only 40,000 miles, I just bought it and would like to have more information on the MR2 clubs in Denver Colorado, or are rally's close by that we can drive two with the T-Tops off!!!
Sun Feb 15 22:03:26 1998 kingiago98@hotmail.com (rm025-2.lib.fsu.edu) We are w/ the Southeastern US IMOC (my "laughing" 86 and I). Just had our Southern Fried IMOC meet. 15 MR2's- only 2 Mark I's though, Oh well, no meet's perfect. These meets are a great way for enthusiasts to get together and talk about our favorite topic. I can only hope that all you enthusiasts out there can take part in IMOC meets. Nothing beats the rush and attention you get from the common public when they see you w/ 15 other MR2's in a convoy driving down a beautiful coastline.
Mon Feb 16 14:35:06 1998 Dan Eagan (ip-18-216.flg.primenet.com) I have an '85 MK1. My poor baby was hit by a beat up old Ford Truck. My rear air spoiler was destroyed. I was wondering if any one had a BLACK spoiler for an '85. I will settle for an '86 but I would prefer a spoiler without the tail light in it. I'm sort of a purist when it comes to my car!
Mon Feb 16 15:15:53 1998 Denise McFayden (204.29.238.168) I recently bought a '93 turbo that was adverstised in the classifieds on this web site. Thanks. MR2s are hard to find. I love both my '87 and '93 MR2.
Mon Feb 16 22:08:14 1998 Gary Bufalo (gate5.gateway.com) I purchased an '88 mr2 about a year and a half ago, and just recently purchased a '92 mr2. I am a huge fan of these sports cars and have nothing but great things to say about them. I enjoy browsing thru this web, it's full of great info. Keep up the good work.
Mon Feb 16 22:12:00 1998 Laurie Harlan (spider-to10.proxy.aol.com) I have a white 92 turbo. The absolute best car ever.

Tue Feb 17 19:22:37 1998 MJ (209-20-7-181.dialin.interlog.com) Hello there! I am the proud owner of#16375 1985 MR2 (and a non-descript 1986 for parts). Thanks to your FAQ's page I think I am ironing out the warped disk situation and other quirks. Since I love this little beasty so much I would like info on starting a Toronto Ontario chapter of an MR2 club, if you have such info. Please pardon my email address - I had the 95 Civic Si Cpe before the MR2! Just the other day I saw the identicle car I was driving on the 401 and we shared a glance, a smile, a wave and a sense of "Ya, this car is awesome". Have to start a chapter! Thanks MJ
Wed Feb 18 10:11:28 1998 T.N (studlabs53-126.dhcp.csuohio.edu) I'm running an 225/50/15 VR Toyo tires for my 91 N/A, these tire(rear tires) tend to worn out really fast, they only last around 20K miles and I mean they conpletely worn out. I'm just wondering if any one out experience the same problem, please share the Info.
Wed Feb 18 21:03:58 1998 Tom Clem (tcipm2-24.totcon.com) Great web site. I love my '91 turbo It has 101,000 miles. But I am getting some leaking hoses. And of course the first one was located around the turbo and cost me $550 to get replaced. Am I the only one having this problem?

Fri Feb 20 21:35:12 1998 Jim Doran (client12cb.globalnet.co.uk) Hi Folks I just found this web site now (by chance). I used to have an MR2, but I traded it for a Celica just before christmas, however, I am trading that in tomorrow for another MR2 basically 'cause I hate the Celica (front wheel drive - PAH!!!).

Sat Feb 21 16:13:55 1998 Myles N. (software.3dsystems.com) The rear right side(passenger side) tire of my 91 Mr2 n/a is always wearing out faster than the left side tire. Is this a common thing? Does the Mr2 transfer its power to the road through the right rear wheel? Anybody knows? I am not familiar with the Mr2 drive train.

Tue Feb 24 14:03:12 1998 Jon Bergeron (PJ1.acs.usm.maine.edu) Hello everyone. I just wanted to say hi, express my delight with your website and let you know that I own a 1987 RED MKI SUPERCHARGED MR2. I love my car. I recentley was driving down the road and happened to look down at the odometer and watched as it rotated to 191,000. The car is in great shape. I had some rust taken car of ansd a new paint job puit on but other than that the car runs like the day it was created. So I hope anyone with doubts about purchasing an MR2 sees this and furthermore I hope anyone that has one continues to have the same luck that I do. JON BERGERON Just a quick fact: I found out a while back that the MR2 was actually first a car developed by the Lotus company. Lotus had doubts as to how many sales the car would get and they sold the design to Toyota. If anyone has any other information on this topic send me some email.
Tue Feb 24 21:32:07 1998 T.N (studlabs53-179.dhcp.csuohio.edu) Just want to say thanks to all of the MR2 owners, who reponded to my questions that I posted a fews days ago about the fast worn out on my tires. Just bought a set of TRMotorsport typhoon wheel with Toyo proxes T1 Plus (www.tirerack.com & www.toyo.com). I Could not wait any longer to put a new wheel on, currently running snow tires due to the weather in Cleveland,Ohio. T.N 91 T-Top N/A
Wed Feb 25 20:29:50 1998 Bruce Sihavong (ww-tr03.proxy.aol.com) I once owned an 86 Mr2 until I was in an accident early september. I loved everything about that car and know it kills me to see it lifeless on my drveway. Although, It was only hit in the front leaving the engine in a perfect condition. Because it would cost too much to get new radiator and some frontal cosmetic work, I am force to look for a buyer. Because I love the Mr2 model and the Mr2 club so much, I was thinking about buying a 91 or 92 Mr2 Turbo with the insurance money.
Wed Feb 25 21:36:00 1998 Sherryl Lynn (ww-te01.proxy.aol.com) I am a fairly new owner of a 91 red N/S MR2. I am hooked on this kewl sportscar and cruise whenever I can. Wheeeeee! "She's" got 90+ thousand miles and purrs like a kitten.
Thu Feb 26 03:52:50 1998 Josh Tolbert (ppp28-ts2.pdnt.com) Hey! Great site! I got my first MR2 this past summer, and it's a GREAT car! i had an unfornate "altercation" with a "keep right" sign, and another student at the college I attend got wide and broadsided me...so I got ANOTHER MR2 earlier today. I'm going to combine both cars (Theyre both '86s) and keep lots of teh extra parts. I'm going to have an extra engine and gearbox, and was wondering what woudl be a good plan of attack for possibly building the car up into an even better corner-cutter that it already is...

Thu Feb 26 15:48:37 1998 JP Gaudreau (dial219.abacom.com) Best site on the net. I am from Montréal and i am a proud owner of a 1991 Mr2 Turbo. Best car i ever drive. My Mr2 has a home made boost controler (15psi) , home made fuel cut defender, K@N filter and sraithg pipe exhaust(213 wheels hp). My car is a lot faster than my brother 1995 Mazda RX7 turbo, and beleive me, he don't like that. Mr2 rules!

Fri Feb 27 17:37:26 1998 Beau Blankenship (Dialup-52.NAS5300-1.amaonline.com) I have had a 1991 non-turbo MR2 since October of 97. It has 68000 miles and still runs great. Even 135 horses is enough to blow these brand new Mustangs away. I'm seriously into this car now and would like to get more info on any MR2 accessories I can get my hands on. I had the car repainted TOYOTA super white with pearl in the clearcoat. It's sweet but I want any performance and interior accessories I can get. Can someone tell me where I can get a catalog or something?
Fri Feb 27 18:21:35 1998 Ardiyanto Tjioe (134.39.105.71) I like this site very much...too bad that they did not produce the MR2 in the United States anymore.
Fri Feb 27 19:08:25 1998 Clifford Hynds (metro.ucc.su.oz.au) Just purchased my first MR2 here in Australia , it is a Bathurst 1997 model NA in light yellow. Sat Feb 28 18:27:26 1998 Patrick Darling (209.83.210.42) I just bought a '91 Turbo 2. Was wondering if anyone knew how to get one into the upper 12s or low 13s. I have a manual boost controller and a homemade K&N filter system that replaces the filter box and resonator. Also I plan to gut the cats and add a Dynomax muffler next week. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated as I HATE Mustangs, there is a 1000 in my town!!!
