Sat Jun 1 08:07:19 1996 Gary Gallenstein I had a 1991 Celica, loved it wanted a MR2 but couldn't afford it. THEN in August 1993 I could finally get one, dream came true. I got my red,T-top 1993 MR2 non Turbo have had it for 33 payments and LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEe it I treat it very well , I get people all the time to say is your car new. I guess that the paint will wash of I keep it so clean. In side and out, but one should for just a fine car I have learned a lot about sports cars since i now have one. The only thing I don't like about the MR2 is that when I do if ever need to trade it Toyota stopped making them. I guess I will always then keep this one. Gotta drive now bye
Sat Jun 1 13:01:16 1996 Jarrad Whissell It is too bad Toyota cancelled the slow selling but impressive MR2. I owned an '85 from July '92 to June '94. It provided me with an entertianing ride and mostly trouble free motoring (concidering the hard driving I put it through). It's biggest draw backs (and the reason I decided to sell it) were its lack of luggage and additional seating space.
Sat Jun 1 16:14:22 1996 Scott J. Charlebois The MR2 is one of those cars that makes you feel excited when you see one but sad and angered because Toyota cancelled the line. In my opinion, the MR2 was one car that delivered excitement with out emptying your wallet.

Tue Jun 4 00:14:01 1996 Brian Just bought a 1986 MR2, fully loaded... Even after 135,000 it still spins like a finely tuned top... I am quite impressed with all of its features, and the fact that a 10 year old (MK1) body can still have a very modern and Exotic apperance... I have never had the plaesure of driving a finer automoble in turns... And 27 MPG!... Wow!... I got Lucky!...

After reading all of the signings I can say I had tears in my eyes... I know now that I am not alone... That the passion is real... I had been in love with the MR2 since it's beginning... I own one now, and I want more!.. You can't stop me... I'd dare you to try, but it wouldn't be fair... If you want to come across like a practical guy with good taste, and an eye for the finer things, nothing is better for the single man than an MR2... She won't leave you alone, as long as you take good care of her... Think about that... Have you hugged your MR2 lately?...

Mon Jun 10 14:30:53 1996 Joe Clancy I've got an `87 T-top with 193.5K MILES ON IT and the only big problem I've ever had with it was a blown head gasket. This car still gets stared at anywhere I go and it's nearly 10 years old already. This is the car you put the Top Gun soundtrack in, push the ECT button (yep it's an automatic) and hang on. To quote something I read in a motorcycle magazine - "I saw Jesus so many times I started using him for a road marker." Best experience - downhill really twisty roads (lotsa S-curves), top out, 90 MPH and White Zombie's "Supercharger Heaven" cranked. Now there's two more in my area (an `85 with no spoiler and an `86) so we're getting more popular around here. I LOVE THIS CAR!!! Better than any Fiero GT...

I was kind of expecting to buy a targa-roof model, but the pounced in eagerness to have any MR2. My most recent car was a 1990 Celica GT4 Turbo 4WD, which was (or should I say, still is, until I sell it) very nice and fast, but I'm afraid that the MR2 is leaps and bounds ahead in performance. All of my previous cars have been Celica's... (such joy!). As a member of the 'Celica Car Club of Qeensland' (Australia), I'm interested to know more about the MR2 (& Celica) associations and clubs within the USA. The big problem for me here, is that the Turbo MR2 was not directly available... I had to import mine from Japan. As with any car, once you get used to the speed, you need to get quicker... Can anybody share their experiences with me regarding engine/turbo mods to the little rocket... ? Note: I've had to use my friends email address until our company domain name is made available. Wed Jun 19 00:22:37 1996 wayne lanning I may be the only person whose immediate family had four Mr2's. I have an 85 blue one, my sons had 85 red and gold ones, and my daughter had an 88 white one. Awesome cars but babies don't fit so the '88 is history. The gold one has 209,000 miles and is going strong. Great cars and great performance.

Thu Jun 20 01:49:20 1996 John Bartels I've just joined the MR2 fraternity, with 5 week old '96 Bathurst. Its Dark Green Mica, and I love it. Mods - I've ditched the factory sound system, and also installed a decent (I hope) security system. A Momo steering wheel, and fog lights are on the list (Toyota ditched the lights in an attempt at price control). It replaced a Mitsubishi Lancer GSR 4wd Turbo, which was noisy, coarse, and didn't like going around corners.

And MORE. It's been the best car I've ever owned since I bought it in Spring 1992 for 10.3K. It now has 75Kmi. and I have a wife with a baby on the way. And so it must go. I own a 92 turbo loaded, with 60k factory service performed. Upgrades sofar include "one over" on Fittapaldii Exclusive wheels wrapped with Yok A509's. A 100% handeling improvement I might add! The fire started becouse of an engine back fire though the intake, this cought the HKS air filter on fire.... If you want I will send Pictures... I have ownded more than 15 different MR 2's over the years, a result of eccentric enthusiasm, and from being an auto broker.I currently own a 1989 Supercharger, with 20,000 original kilometer's. Even though I don't drive it as much as I would like-I'm reluctant to put mileage on it-I still walk by it every single day to admire it.
