Wed May 1 05:16:21 1996 David Scott An excellent site - keep up the (lots) of work! My first MR2 was a Red 1990 NA (got it six months after they were released in Australia). Probably spent the next year answering the almost daily question (at traffic lights, when parked etc.) ... "What is it?" "How much does it cost" Even had one guy try and tell me it was just a Celica with the motor in the back seat (yeah, right pal - did it myself!). Have now swapped it for a Dark Green Mica 1995 NA. I'm set for a few more years yet!
Wed May 1 07:12:13 1996 Hajime Umezawa I like TOYOTA sports car. Especially, MR2 and Supra. Now I own Corolla. But if I were younger and single, I own MR2 or Supra.
Wed May 1 12:16:44 1996 Dan Ponjican MR2s RULE
Wed May 1 19:58:54 1996 The Hammer mr2 kick some booty! I wish I could find another car that handled as well. There is just no competition. Other cars I like: Izusu I-Mark, Ford Probe GT, and those other Italian ones. Got to go for a drive now.
Wed May 1 20:36:02 1996 HUGO GONZALEZ EXELLENT PAGE!!! I GOT A LOT OF USEFULL INFO. THANKS!!! I OWN A 1992 MR-2 TWIN TURBO(CONVERTED)LETHER INTERIOR, T-TOP, RUNS LIKE HELL!!! YOU GOT TO FEEL IT
Wed May 1 22:05:28 1996 Randy Marzan Bought an MR2 '95.... Love the car....great handling....but wish could've got turbo (not sold in california in '95) Well nice hello to all and much RESPECT to Phil Lee's MR2 TURBO... It's the best... Hope I can do some thing to mine....
Wed May 1 22:28:53 1996 Bernardino Gonzalez Badillo This was very fun here!! Iam so glad I found other people who love the MR2 as much as I do. You know, people don't beleive me that I trade back in 93 my Porsche a 928s '83 for a 93'Toyota MR2 Turbo, WELL AT LEAST I know you people will understand why! P.S. is there is a forum where we can talk?
Thu May 2 08:26:33 1996 Jayson Entao Still looking for an affordable Mk I or Mk II in perfect condition! Plus if anyone has an extra 4AG(Z)E lying around, I have the resources to put it in my Starlet...=) Let me know in either case!!
Thu May 2 08:48:39 1996 Jayson Entao Dang! Just read through the guestbook. No wonder it's so hard to find a good, used MR2-- you all love your cars so much! Ah well....da search goes on...
Fri May 3 07:37:51 1996 Jeffrey J. Krcmar
Fri May 3 14:30:01 1996 Larry Fernald 1985 MR2 still running great with over 110,000 miles.
Sat May 4 10:12:39 1996 sinaduma if somebody know where to get the front spoiler for 88 MR2 like the one showed in SPORT COMPACT CAR magazine, please e-mail me at luna8@msn.com. Thank you!
Sat May 4 10:52:11 1996 Jake I LOVE this car!!!! I am the proud owner of a 1991 MR2 Turbo and it is just such a great car. Why Toyota discontinued this car totally is one of the biggest mysteries the world has ever seen. I love everything about this car and I'm glad I see so many others who agree with me. The biggest thrill I get is pulling up next to a Honda Del Sol at a red light and than absolutly burning them when it turns green. This is a great page for this excellence in automotive enginering. The Toyota MR2 has such great looks and the handling is nothing short of a go-kart!!!!
Sat May 4 16:39:29 1996 Sean Johnson In the process of trying to find to buy a 1991 or 1992. Not having that much luck due to my location in Tucson, Arizona. Probably will have to head to Phoenix.
Sat May 4 19:01:20 1996 Perry L. Wilbur One of these days, I will have a MR2!
Sat May 4 19:58:35 1996 Pauline Pope Hi! I own a 1991 MR2 turbo (red, of course). Actually, I am ashamed to say that I really wanted a Miata, but my husband (a Jaguar XK120 owner) talked me into the MR2. I'm glad he did. I LOVE it!
Sat May 4 20:18:41 1996 Kevin Bjarnason
Sat May 4 20:57:33 1996 Avalon 1988 Supercharged Mr2 and loving it!!
Sun May 5 00:06:54 1996 DANIEL LOWE IF YOU WANT TO SEE AND HEAR ABOUT ONE OF THE NICEST STOCK MR2'S IN WESTERN CANADA, THEN GO TO THE WHO'S WHO MAILING LIST AND CHECK MINE OUT!!!
Sun May 5 01:46:08 1996 Robyn I have '92 MR2 (SW20/3SGE). It's a great car to own and drive. Nice sports interior. I'ts Automatic. It beats my friends Automatic del sol!
Sun May 5 06:07:07 1996 Jon Matsushige Great stuff, currently own 85 and 86 Mr 2s and am looking for more material about these wonderful creatures. Keep up the good work!
Sun May 5 18:01:10 1996 Jake I have just two questions: How could someone not like this car? Why would anybody in there right mind buy a Honda Del Sol over the MR2? Would any Del Sol owner please state why he/she thinks the Del Sol is a better car the MR2... I'm all ears.
Sun May 5 20:03:11 1996 Nick Kilroy I just got a '96 MR2 Bathurst with the new 3S-GE normally-aspirated engine which is the same as the new Celica GT-4 engine (3S-GTE) but without a turbo. The car really hammers and the handling is incredible. I also drove the Nissan 200SX and thought it was boring, slow and handled like a Volkswagon-combi. Only other MR2 drivers know the real feeling of excitement when all four Yoko's screech through a hard corner. The car is wicked and the chassis awe-inspiring.
Mon May 6 02:23:24 1996 Robin Well...... A "mpeg" or "mov" of the 1986 MR2 would be nice! And get some pictures from the MR2 Handbook
Mon May 6 04:15:13 1996 D. D. Fenster I own an 89 Supercharged . . . love the car. Web site is very, very well done. Thanks.
Mon May 6 14:15:31 1996 Frank DeLise 1991 Black MR2 Turbo New York, The Website is awsome. Lets pray Toyota brings back the "2". The car thats like no other!!

Mon May 6 17:34:34 1996 jim I THINK THE MR2 IS THE NICEST SPORTS CAR NEXT TO THE PORSCHE 911 TURBO
Mon May 6 18:27:57 1996 Hugo Flores This is a fantastic page of a fantastic car. Your graphics are great and the info. contained in this web site is even better. VERY Good Work! I fell in love with the "Mister Two" since the first 84 MKI arived, I wanted one. And when the MKII came out my desire to own one grew even stronger but, as a 26 year old college student it is just too dificult. I have a good car though. I really like my 86 Celica GT-S, it's great to drive but it is not an MR2. It sure is a shame that the MR2 is discontinued in the USA but, I think there is a replacement on the way. Logon to "http://www.toyota.co.jp/" this is the Japanese Toyota Web Page. There is an English version iconb you click to read it in English. In the "autoshow" there are some concept vehicles that may come out. Check out the "MRJ", it's amazing. Well thanks for creating such a great web site and good luck. Hugo

Tue May 7 10:04:48 1996 Edwin Concepcion Jr. Great Home Page!!!! I own a '91 MR2 and its the greatest. I wish to make it look like the one from Han Motoring, but for now its the greatest.. I have added 15' deep dish rims, and believe me i make the people here in Newark turn heads, especially with the 400watt stereo system.... Good Luck To All MR2 owners

Tue May 7 16:05:00 1996 Andrew Baust Do not use Continental Supercontact Tyres K91 Profile (1995) on the back, use the Aqua-Contact profile otherwise the car will pitch and roll.
Tue May 7 19:05:29 1996 JAN NARTOWICZ THIS IS SUCH A GREAT WEB SITE!!! I AM THE PROUD OWNER OF A SILVER 85, A WHITE 87, AND A BLACK 91 MR2. MY WIFE, DAUGHTER AND I REALLY LOVE OUR CARS. Wed May 8 15:01:27 1996 Kevin Cameron Greetings to all MR2 owners worldwide from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have a white '88 Supercharged MR2 (summer driven only). Just upgraded rims to 15 x 6.5" Eurospokes & tires to 195/50HR15s on the front, 205/50HR15s on the rear. It looks amazing (perfect fit) and handles like it's "on rails". Be careful with rim & tire sizes and offsets when upgrading; the front strut mounts are very close to the tires. Bye for now. I'm open to mail from other Mister Two owners.
Wed May 8 16:26:16 1996 Richard Peck Being dense sometimes, it took me almost two years to look for info on my car on the internet. Well better late than never. Keep up the good work.

Thu May 9 12:04:43 1996 Peter Slawson I have a 1984 MR@ and am considering upgrading to a 1992 model. Any known problems with this model? Any known rust areas? Thanks for help from anyone.
Thu May 9 13:44:35 1996 Mr.ash Well, I sort of stumbled upon my MR2 (blue 1985 Mk1)Accidentally while looking for a good car to take to college. When I first saw it, I fell in love with the looks, but was afraid that it's size would be a problem. Since that time I have grown so attached to that car, that whenever something goes wrong with it (which isn't very often) I literally get sick! The size is sometimes a drawback, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Perhaps it's not good to be so materialistic, but I love my MR2 more than *almost* anything in the world. Thanks to you guys for putting up a page where all of us who have a terminal infatuation with the MR2, be it MK1, or MK2 can come to both admire, and learn more about our most prized posessions!

Sat May 11 15:57:10 1996 Danny Sealock I believe that the 91-95 MR2 turbo is the greatest car ever made. It would blow my mitsubishi eclipse off the road any day. I wish I had the money to buy one.

Sat May 11 19:29:25 1996 Jun Min Oh
Sat May 11 21:00:23 1996 Darren Gilbertson Have owned a MR2 for six months now and enjoy every minute of it.
Sat May 11 22:03:02 1996 Mark Bales Owned one of the first, and kept it until '93. I was raised on British sports cars. I owned a '59 TR3. Dad had a '64 TR4, and my sister had an MGB. Dad now has a Miata, which has been given a lot of credit for reviving interest in the English roadster. I give credit to the MR2 for reviving interest in the low cost sports car (okay, maybe the '79 RX7 has the real claim, but it didn't have the "exotic" nature of mid-engine. Anyway, as I think about resonably priced second or third "fun" cars to buy, the later year MR2's are high on my list.
Sun May 12 05:52:14 1996 H.Tanaka I am a Japanese. I don't read English well. but I love MR2,too.

Sun May 12 11:46:32 1996 John Meadows My brother-in-law is dead proud of his MR2, but I think he's just a poser in it, you can't beat a good Peuguot 405 estate for coolness!!!
Sun May 12 17:49:48 1996 Doug A hail storm recently passed through our area and did 3 thousand dollars in damage to my 91 turbo.Every time I think about all of those dents I want to throw up.Oh well, my wing was starting to fade pretty bad anyway.
Sun May 12 19:54:02 1996 Stan LaMuth What a fantastic Web Site !! I just located a used '85 MR-2 . After 10 minutes of exploring this site I had enough information to convince me to purchase the car. Wow...am I glad I did. Even with 120k on the odometer it drives better than anything I've ever owned....even my '72 Fiat 124 Sport Spider. I fell in love with the MR-2 instantly. Keep up the good work !!

Tue May 14 14:07:22 1996 Michael Challis I say the article in Sprot Compact Car. I have a 78 Alfa Spider, but there is a clean 91 MR2 Turbo w/11k miles for sale that I drove today, so I'm researching. Do you think 13K is too much? The original rear tires are shot with only 11K miles, is that unusual? Thanks for the site. MC

Fri May 17 18:57:21 1996 Todd Young I love Toyotas and especially the MR2. I am desperiatly trying to find a 93-95 of my own, but it is difficult!!
Fri May 17 19:46:01 1996 John Wharton What can I say? When I turned 40 and it came time for my "mid-life crisis car", the MR2 was an obvious choice -- style, features and performance. My '93 non-turbo, T-topped MR2 makes me smile every time I climb in. Since getting it (used) in late '94, I've taken up autocrossing, and my MR2 is an absolute joy to drive at the limit. So, take your daily driver out to a SCCA-sanctioned parking lot near you and have a blast! Nice meeting all of you.
Sat May 18 14:11:31 1996 Danny Manzano I currently own a 1989 MK1 MR2 which I have lowered and fitted 15*7 TSW Blade alloys and 205/50/15 yokohama A510 rubber. I've fitted some serious car hifi (£3500 worth) comprising Pheonix Gold JL Audio and Sony products. I'm now looking to buy a 1994 MR2 but not many around.
Sat May 18 14:31:05 1996 Don Davis I have to say that the MR2 is by far the most fun driving car for the money. I have owned two. 1987 and 1991 turbo. Unfortunately I did something bad. I went and traded by 1991 in for a new Supra.. was a mistake...Maybe Toyota will bring the MR2 back.
Sat May 18 21:29:40 1996 Melissa Perkins I love my MR-2 turbo!!!

Tue May 21 17:32:26 1996 Mark H. Pham Hello. Mine is a 1987 MR-2 w/168,000 miles. Raced an '88 MR-2 Supercharged and kept up with him until 3500rpm in 3rd gear as he moved ahead, SLOWLY. I've done about $190 worth of modification for this accomplishment. Oh, and he had only 58,000 miles. Since then, I've put on hiperf exhaust (+6-7 horses) so I should be even closer. Some stuff were basic, _free_ hot rodding techniques. Email me if ya like BGXL75B@Prodigy.Com (I love this car....got a modified Mustang 5.0L too, but 16mpg vs. 29mpg city is a biggie).

Sat May 25 03:41:47 1996 Brett Daly I just purchased a 1986 MR2 with 170,000km, and have to say that it puts my 1988 Honday CRX SI to shame in the handling department and driving position. I've always wanted a rear wheel drive sports car and now have one. So far, its been great.

Sun May 26 10:32:14 1996 Snap I think that the MR 2 is a really great car but it is a little too narrow. If you would make it a little wider that would increse the handleing capibilites, And also if you were to have dual airbags it would increase the sales to younger people because it would be safer!!!

Oh and by the way to anyone out there, I am also looking for a MR2 for myself. I'de preferably like on that's already done up because I don't have the time to do it myself. Keep in contact with me. If not, I'll be in Montreal this summer for the Canadian Grand Prix.
