While mail fraud may be a federal crime, getting the postal service to do anything about one person is next to impossible. I have been after the Post Office for almost two years to prosecute an individual in Texas or a quantity of RAM chips I sold him. They are less the enthusiastic about it because it's only an individual, not a business. If you do COD (as a shipper) take only money orders or cashiers check. Someone also suggested getting shipping & COD monies up front and this is an excellant idea for the shipper. The downside is that it puts it all on the buyer. So much for my input.... Hi everyone, Today I ran into a start up problem with my 87NA. I wonder if any of the MKI owners has ran into the same problem or not. My car has 121K miles on the clock. Today I tried to start the engine but it failed to start. There wasn't any cranking sound from the engine at all. The dashboard lights were sort of blinking or shall I say fading and there was the long beep sound each time when I attempted to start the engine. I repeatedly try to start the engine but the same response occur during each attempt. Then I succesfully started the engine after 10 to 15 tries. I then drove for about 10 minutes to a local gas station to get some gas, but the exact same thing had occured when I tried to restart the engine after fueling. This time it took almost 20 attempts to start the car. I had someone from the station perform a quick check on the car. He said there is no problem with the battery, but it might has something to do with the starter or the ignition switch. Any suggestions??? When I ordered my Magnecor wires, they told me beforehand they would not seal quite as well as OEM wires. As I recall, that's true, but the fit is good enough for my purposes - if I were washing the engine or whatever, I'd cover them up. The Magnecor boots have a "washer", if you will, as part of the boot, that covers the hole (in the spark plug cover) pretty well. (Especially once you figure out to push them quite firmly onto the spark plugs.) The company seemed very upfront; they voluntarily told me the fit was not OE perfect, I didn't even think to ask. If they told you the fit *is* OE, it may be that they now use a different boot, that does fit exactly. I hope this is the case; I like to have "the warm fuzzy feeling" about the companies I buy from. Personally I see nothing wrong with mentioning idiots by name who abuse the trust of our MR2 "family" especially if the offended party (Like David) has gone to such lengths to straighten out the situation. A public reprimand could be just what is needed to help convince the offender to take care of obligations. Here's another explanation based on the information I have: The "Eagle" emblem is not really an eagle at all. Its a [Japanese] stylized Phoenix. The Japanese respected the American Indian culture, and, in fact compared it to their own former Samurai culture. The MK I's side profile represents an inverted samurai sword, and is designed in relief in the same proportions. The badge complements this statement, and adds a unique and complementary touch.
